I can't download/install Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 to use new Kobo e-reader; I get a pop-up flag to "notify Microsoft about the error". Is it just me and my Lenovo PC, or are others having this problem? Was able to download ADE 1.7 but thereafter I'm not able to connect/synchonize any e-book downloaded on my PC to the Kobo e-reader. Is there a patch to help facilitate proper installation of ADE 2.0?

Möchte das Programm ADE 2.0 auf meinem PC (Windows XP) bzw. Notebook (Windows 7) installieren. Nach dem Download sagt er mir, ich müsste Administrator-Rechte haben, um fortfahren zu können. Auf beiden PCs bin ich Administrator und trotzdem sagt er mir, ich hätte nicht das Recht fortzufahren. Häh???
Would like to install ADE 2.0 on my PC (WindowsXP) or Notebook (Windows7). After downloading the file the program asks me if I am the administrator. On both pc's I am administrator but it tells I am not. WHAT IS WRONG?

PDF to epub not converting correctly
After I change my PDF to an epub file, it does not look the same. I have two photos per page in the PDF, and when it converts to epub it shows only one picture per page with double the amount of pages?

OpenLibrary.com with Digital Editions 2.0
Using OpenLibrary.com. with Digital editions 1.7 I could click on "borrow book" then click "open" and the borrowed book would download directly to Digital Editions.
I upated to 2.0 and that no longer works!
ADOBE support tells me I have to
1) click on the book I want to borrow,
2) click "save as" which saves a file called URLLINK.acsm.
3)THEN I need to leave the programs an open windows explorer and
4)drag the "URLLINK.acsm" file to Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 and finally the borrowed book appears in my library.
1 step with Digital Editions 1.7
3 step process with Digital Editions 2.0.
Is there an easier way?????

I have purchased a ePub document which comes with a link to DL it on Adobe Digital Editions (up to 6 licenses).
Adobe Digital Editions, however, comes with the following error message:
"E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER'
And that is the end of download effort.
The publisher AISC.org is really out of their depth in these matters.
It either works or tough luck kind of approach.
And I have paid a lot for the document.
How can I resolve this?
It seems Adobe assumes something which it shoud not and it is hard to make it unassume it.
Any help is appreciated.
I have remove, de-authorized, re-authorized, created new ID...all to no avail.

Fulfillment Error: E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN
I receive this error when trying to open an .acsm file on my Mac: "Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN:" I am running Mac OS X 10.8.2. When I open the ACSM file it is in XML format and is looking for a PDF document.
What do I need to do to actually download the file? Everything else seems to be configured properly in terms of authorization.

Authorize Adobe ID Error
I have Overdrive app on ipad. I have working adobe ID on PC. I have Internet connection to ipad. When I try to authorize adobe ID on ipad through Overdrive, it gives me error 256; error connection to adobe servers. I tried several other ereaders. Same thing. Tried on my android phone. Same thing (though a different error number, but wouldn't connect to adobe server). Through forum, tried the date/time settings suggestions. Didn't work. Suggestions?

need a solution to read the book!!!!
I bought an ebook as acsm file and it worked, but the problem it's slow so much, so I need a couple of seconds to move from a side to another one. I tried to convert it from acsm to PDF but I couldn't. is there any solution, or is there any possibility to convert it from acsm to pdf (and will it work faster if I convert it) ? I really need a help, cause I need to read it and do my homeworks and should have an exam soon.

Hi, as I know I can get till 3 devices with one account in one computer, If one of my devices it`s broken, how can I delete from my account? Because If I don't do it the ADE doesn't allow me to put another devices in my computer.

I have searched the forum and found this question asked previosuly - but NOT answered.
I would like to know what this means and why I can't download my book.
Very frustrating to try and access customer support from adobe to be thrown over to a forum which has the same questions I seek the answer to posted MONTHS ago - and they are still unanswered. There has to be an easier way!

Cannot activate, Activation Server error
I can logon to the Adobe site and have a valid Adobe ID and Password. Previous version worked fine, but I cannot get past the Authoriztion Screen on Version 2.0. Get the error message, "Activation Server error", "code : E_AUTH_NOT_READY". Repeated attempts yeild the same problem.

ADE Won't Open
Whenever I try to open my ADE reader, it won't work. The error I reapeatedly get is "ADE 2.0 has stopped working." A little screen pops up saying this and that windows is looking for a solution to the problem but nothing happens beyond this point. I have tried to un-install and then re-install ADE several times and still it will not work. Please HELP! What can I do to get my ADE to work? Without this reader I can't open any of my .ascm files!
