I had been previously downloading ebooks from my library's digital library to my tablet's 'library' with no problems. Recently, there was an updated website...and when I went to download books I got some weird messages.

Long story short...I had to end up changing my Adobe ID password...and try to reauthorize but it seems to be not letting me open the books. There's some message about a previous ID...

What's weird is my husband was able to set up his elibrary, download books without an adobe id with no problem.

This has GOT to be an Adobe issue...my library's tech folks can't figure it out.

I need someone to call me, email me and help me fix this please!!!

I can't authorize my Windows laptop in ADE. Earlier I used ADE  without problems to transfer epubs to my Kobo, but now I've bought a DRM epub which won't open. I've hit "authorize computer" and entered my adobe ID, but the authorisation process won't complete. Sometimes it says there is no internet connectivity (which there is..), or it starts the authorisation process but won't finish it, this can go on for hours, and I can only break it through the task manager.

I've tried deleting and reinstalling, Ctrl-D, but to no avail. Does anybody have any suggestion? Thanks so much!

im trying to download the trial version of captivate on my mac, the akamai netsession interface is now on my desktop, i go through installation, it makes that happy sound and says the installation was successful, but nothing actually happens, no new folders or documents, or applications, seems like sort of a dead end. 

To investigate i clickedon Akamai in "other" of my system preferences is tells me the status is "forbidden" but I am the administrator and i have never used this free trial before, so why am I "forbidden?"

I keep getting an "encountered unknown error" message when trying to open and edit existing PDF files in the trial version of Acrobat XL Pro.  Any suggestions?

Recently I updated my nook touch.  Before the update I was able to download books from the local library.  Now i get an error message which states 'not activated'.

I can't complete the computer authorization. An error comes up after entering username and password.  I've changed both and it still occurs. Can you help me?

How do I reset My account so that im able to download my books from Booksonboard.com after changing my email address, at the moment Im getting an error "Error, Content already fulfilled by another user" which would be my old account email address.

first we installed adobe digital editions on computer 1 without an Adobe ID. Then we tried to authorize it belated with an existing Adobe ID but it didn't work out. The error message was: It is not possible to authorize with an ID which is used on another computer. How can we solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

Didn't realise I needed to be registered with ADE first before I paid for an epub-format book. Now it's downloaded but I can't seem to access it. Bought it from Waterstones. This is so annoying. Why should I buy it twice? They don't warn that you have to have become a registered user, or whatever it is, before allowing you to download the damn thing!

Any advice? A special process?

In ADE 1.7 whenever I downloaded an ebook with name like "URLink.ascm", I would rename the file something like:

BookName_Author.ascm and then proceed to open it with double click which would open it with ADE.

No matter where BookName_Author.ascm is on disc, once I open it with ADE there is a file like: BookName_Author.epub created in

C:\Users\Me\Documents\My Digital Editions\BookName_Author.epub

All good so far.  But now, using ADE version 2.0 if I download an ebook like: URLink.ascm, rename it to NewBookName_Author.ascm and open it with ADE 2.0, I do NOT see a file like NewBookName_Author.epub get created.

Is that normal?  If so, can I still get a NewBookName_Author.epub file out of the *.ascm some how?

I like using ADE without need of being connected to net, but trying to read an ebook in *.ascm format requires a network connection.

So is it still possible, using ADE 2.0 to read my books offline?

I can no longer transfer library ebooks to my nook with ADE 2.0.  What is the fix for this?  From this site, it is clear that people have been complaining since September 2012.  Why is there no response from Adobe?  So many libraries and schools rely on this feature, it is irresponsible to have made this change, or to refuse to fix it.

Someone please help.  I just bought an e-book, downloaded ADE to my laptop (w/windows) and went to put the book in my ADE library, but I'm getting the following error message:

"Connection Error Detected.  Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server.  Please make sure you are connected to the internet."

There is nothing wrong with my internet connection.

How can I resolve this?

can I download an ebook via digital editions to a Elonex 705EB?

I know there are several similar questions but I didn't see one that was completely relevant: I've cleared and re-authorized my computer for ADE several times while trying to solve a problem. Now I can neither read nor return the Open Library books I borrowed, even using the original ID with which I downloaded [It was the "No ID" option - I just read that this may be a big part of the problem?].  I've re-activated every authorization ID I have, restarting ADE each time. Error msgs include: "No record of this book," "Unable to load book," "Book borrowed using different account." Also, at this point, I fear I've hit, or am soon to hit, my limit of authorizations. [Does anyone know what the limit is?]  I sure hope someone can help me. Thanks!

Hallo.Habe mir heute den tolino gekauft. Bisher habe ich den sony benutzt. Nun wollte ich den tolino authorisieren,aber ich bekomme die Fehlermeldung :

Ho acquistato un e-book e l'ho scaricato su Adobe Digital Editions, regolarmente installato nel mio pc. Sia il programma sia il mio Kobo ereader sono autorizzati con il mio ID Adobe. Ma quando scarico il libro sull'ereader e tento di aprirlo mi compare il messaggio:"Attenzione! Questo documento non può essere aperto. Il documento è protetto da Adobe Digital Editions (DRM) e non può essere utilizzato con l'ID Adobe corrente. Accedi con l'ID Adobe autorizzata e riprova".

Ho riprovato più volte ma il risultato è lo stesso. Cosa posso fare?

PS sul Kobo il libro compare con la copertina tutta nera, ma nei dettagli posso leggere Autore, Titolo e dimensioni, quindi il download è avvenuto!
