I installed the new version of ADE and everything went fine until it tried to launch. It got stuck on "Loading Library" for six hours before I gave up and uninstalled/reinstalled. I told it not to transfer my ebooks, thinking maybe that was the problem (too many). It is stuck again at the same place. I don't want to try installing the older version again, I updated because it won't work with my Kobo Glo. Help!

Opening drm pdf books (several years old) now crashes digital editions 2.0 'stops working'
I have now tested several dozen of my older ebooks, all with the same result. The book 'begins' to open, cover appearing on the screen, and the error message "Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 has stopped working. A problem caused the software to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." the software stops working with that error message. Windows closes the program.
When I re-open, the same thing immediately happens. I then go in through another drm book that is newer, the only way to open the software without it crashing, and of course, I find and delete the offending file. I try to reinstall it and again, the cover appears, the error message appears and the software crashes. The item isn't added to the library so in that case, I can actually relaunch the software.
BUT the ebook will open directly from the file and can be read in Digital Editions:
When I try to launch from the pdf itself, it opens in Adobe Digital Editions just fine. Then, I try to copy it to the Library and the software crashes again, with the same message. So clearly there is no problem with licensing or permissions (or it wouldn't open at all).
This is not one ebook, but many. Coincidentally, all are older pdfs (from 2011 or so), most appear to be from the HarperCollins group.
Is this a bug in the new version? I'm guessing so....had no issues at all with the last version(s).
What gives? I own license rights for all of these and have read them a number of times.

I had Bluefire Reader on my i phone and it had many books. Since updating the phone I have lost all the books which were associated with my Adober Reader account. On my cell phone it is showing that the account is linked to the correct email address but the books are gone. Thank your for your help.

I choose the Windows platform and install it, then I click Download for Digital Editions- it refers me to a Microsoft site to download - which I do- then I retry downloading Digital Editions and just start the whole cycle again! Nothing appears in my Adobe order history and I've run out of ideas- Help!

Skip the ADE step and go straight to the Nook library
I have a Sony reader that allows me download books from the library directly to my Sony library without the ADE step. I just purchased a Nook for my mother and it is requiring me to go through the ADE step every time and then drag to the Nook. Is there a way I can have the downloads go straight to the Nook?

Loading Library...
I'm having problems when downloading the Adobe Digital Editions. I had an older version of Adobe Digital Reader, so I'm updating it with this version. I went through the installing process, but now it's stuck on Loading Library... It's been like this for about 10 hours (I let it go over night). Hello I am having problem with Flash Player 11.7.700.169
Hi I have Avast antivirus "the free version" and it keeps asking me to do a critical update, but in order for me to get the update I must first update my flash player to version 11.7.700.169
It redirects me with a link to download it but fails to do so nor install.

ADE error - Check Activation
I've been using ADE for downloading library books for some time but recently had work done on my computer. Now ADE gives me a message "error - check activation" every time I try to download. I have uninstalled and reinstalled ADE but the problem persists. I am able to open ADE but not download. The program indicates my computer is authorized. I'm running Windows XP. Any suggestions?

Adobe ID without function
Since I lost my old mobile phone and bought a new one, I cannot open my ebooks. Not on PC, not on my Laptop, not on my mobile phone. I have tried to change my paaword, but its not the solution.
