Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL

I purchased a title from Chicago University Press and have been unable to open this with Adobe Digital Editions 3.0.

I am running a MAC on OSX 10.9

Each time I try and open the downloaded file I get this error.

Anyone know of a solution?
