Zoom Greyed Out
First of all, I have to say that Adobe's level of support for issues involving this is ridiculous. I am forced to use this app because of a course textbook and I am not able to zoom. The zoom option is greyed out and I have spent many hours trying to fix this issue.
Is there a solution to this? I have seen that others have had the same issue.

epub auf Tolino kopieren funktioniert nicht
Guten Tag,
Ich habe versucht ein epub eBook über Adobe Digital Editions auf den Tolino vision 4 HD zu kopieren. Die DRM ID ist identisch konfiguriert. Leider bekomme ich die Fehlermeldung: Gerät konnte nicht authorisiert werden. Auch über die Tolino Cloud kann das Buch nicht auf den Reader übertragen bzw. geöffnet werden. Fehlermeldung: Verbindungsfehler: Es ist ein unerwarteter Fehler aufgetreten. Bitte versuchen Sie es (später) noch einmal.
Das buch wurde bei Google Books gekauft und dann mit Adobe Digital Editions heruntergeladen. Auf dem PC kann ich das Buch problemlos öffnen.
In der Vergangenheit hat dieses vorgehen immer funktioniert.

Can't open DRM in Acrobat Reader
I purchased an ebook with DRM (ACSM file) - installed ADE (Digital Edition 4.5) and downloaded the book. I can open it in ADE normally, but when opening in Acrobat Reader DC I´m getting the message "There was an error opening this document. The security plug-in required by this command is unavailable." I want to open the pdf so I can print it - when I try to print directly from ADE, the formatting is all messed up. Any help is GREATLY appreciated

I am the only user. This is @#$%^&(windows 10. I cannot read library ebooks at all because of this error. I spent almost an hour today I had to reset the password several times.setting passwords. any more every time I log into adobe. I have uninstalled and reinstalled adobe digital editions. These books will not open in anything else , will they? I remember it as a nice reader, but it has been while since it worked.Does anything else open ebooks from the library? .ACM?
I am ready to try to replace all my adobe stuff after being a member and user for about 22 or so years. Really stressed.

A few months ago,I have bought a Kobo Aura One for my wife. To allow me the possibility of buying E-Books on multipled E-books shops, I have installed ADE. Everything worked fine.
Yesterday, I bought a second Kobo Aura One for myself. There were no problems to load the E-Books that I already had in my Kobo Account, as this doen't involve ADE.
But when I asked ADE to autorise this second Kobo Aura one, I got the error message E-ADEPT-USER-UNKNOWN.

E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS ...?!
Hi,
I had problems during activation process of Adobe Digital Edition after purchasing DRM ebooks and have had to reinstall the program several times.
So, finaly I was able to authorize one of my computers for reading those docuemnts, but following message is coming up now when trying to authorize my laptop:
"E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS http:\\adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/Activate 3:6003:6003 urn:uuid:8de1d0ea-ba6a-4297-9961-c4b6528a9cea"
After a first chat on 03.NOV.2009 looking for assistance, I was just forwarded to call the Technical Support.
And after my call on 04.NOV.2009 to the Technical Support, I was informed about escalation and was just placed to wait for their contact and final solution.
But unfortunately, then I was informed on 17.NOV.2009 about this new procedure to get a solution.
As far as I have learned, an activation reset of my Adobe's account would be necessary to resolve this program failure.
For your reference, my laptop is a HP Pavillion dv2000 and the Norton Internet Security 2009 tool is installed on it for protection.
I will really appreciate your support with this issue for being able to read my new ebooks on the laptop as soon as possible!

Livre téléchargé qui fait planter adobe digital editions
Bonjour,
J'ai téléchargé via le site web kobo le lien "URLLink.acsm". Avec le logiciel en version 4.5.7, j'ai glissé le lien et le téléchargement est parti. Mais cela n'a pas du bien se passer. Pas de message d'erreur, mais quand j'essaye de l'ouvrir, le logiciel se plante (ne répond plus).
J'ai tout essayé : suppression du livre, rechargement du livre, désinstallation du logiciel avec arrêt du PC, suppression du répertoire My Digital Editions.
Rien y fait le livre est toujours là, je peux lire les infos sur l'élément, etc, mais dès que je le lis, le logiciel se plante.
Il faut surement supprimer des fichiers systèmes mais lesquelles?

Cannot open a library book even when reader appears to be authorised

Reader Kobo aura (new)
Library in UK Norfolk Digital Library
I have uninstalled Adobe Digital Editions, then installed the latest offering of Adobe Digital Editions.
I have authorised my PC with my Adobe identity.
I have connected my Kobo aura e-reader and authorised it with the same Adobe identity.
I have downloaded a book from Norfolk Digital Library: this book appears in Adobe Digital Editions.
I have copied the same book to my Kobo aura.
When I disconnect the Kobo aura from the PC (properly) and try to open the book on the Kobo aura, I get an error message that the eReader is not authorized to open the book.
Help, please.
Adobe help is beyond useless, sending me in circles without ever getting close to a chat session. This is just a rant, but any advice in dealing with Adobe would also be welcome.

J'ai plusieurs problèmes avec le compte ADE. D'abord, incapacité de restituer les prêts numériques, même si j'enlève les livres de la bibliothèque et dans mes fichiers, ils reviennent à chaque fois et lorsque je copie sur ma liseuse Kobo, la couverture est noire et je n'ai pas le droit d'ouvrir, le message est : Ce livre est protégé par Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). Ayant bloqué l'accès au livre, vous devez renouveler l'accès au livre et l'importer à nouveau en utilisant ADE. Et on me dit de consulter Kobo.help. Ce que j'ai fait. J'ai fait toutes les démarches pour réparer le compte de la liseuse, reconfigurer, enlever et remettre l'autorisation pour l'ordinateur et le périphérique. Je ne sais plus quoi faire pour avoir accès aux livres que l'emprunte. Avez-vous une solution?

Public Library customers with Kobo ereader authorization issue ADE 4.0 - 4.5, "Oops! This document couldn't be opened."
Hello Adobe support,
I work at a public library and we now have at least 8 - 12 members of the public (anecdotally more), who are unable to open Adobe DRM epub ebooks on their Kobo ereaders from our Overdrive or Freading services using Adobe Digital Editions versions between 4.0 and 4.5 and Windows 7 - 10. All of the people involved were using their Kobo with ADE successfully until just recently, and all have experienced the following set of conditions and problem:
- ADE 4.0 - 4.5 is authorized with an Adobe ID.
- DRM epub ebooks seem to download properly inside ADE.
- The Kobo appears to be properly authorized and is connected via USB, appearing in ADE.
- When the ebook is transferred to the device, it seems to work properly and no errors appear.
- As soon as the customer ejects the Kobo and tries to open the ebook on the device itself the error message pops up: "Oops! This document couldn't be opened. This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM) and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID. Please sign-in with the authorized Adobe ID and try again."
We began receiving requests for help right with this around the week of November 8th and are continuing to receive new requests for help with this issue throughout January and as recently as today. Our primary ebook vendor has been unable to help beyond supplying the workaround of downgrading to ADE 3.0.
Most of the customers involved are using Windows 7, and Internet Explorer or an alternative browser like Firefox or Chrome - but we've had this issue occur at least once for someone using Windows 8 and twice for people with Windows 10. We also helped someone with this issue using Mac OSX 10.11. This issue has been reported mainly with Kobo Aura HD or Aura H2O, but also with Kobo Glo and Kobo Glo HD. The Kobo firmware has varied, some were using version 3.18.0 - some were using older versions. One frustrating aspect to this issue is that despite having a number of these exact devices on hand for testing, we have been unable to reproduce the issue on any of our workstations. There also doesn't seem to be a clear pattern to the titles involved.
So far, the workaround provided elsewhere on this forum and by our primary vendor has been the only way to resolve this issue for the people affected:
- The customer de-authorizes the Kobo and ADE 4.0 - 4.5.
- The customer uninstalls Adobe Digital Editions 4.X.
- The customer installs Adobe Digital Editions 3.0.
- The customer re-authorizes ADE 3.0 and the Kobo.
Does Adobe have any way to resolve this issue for customers who wish to use ADE 4.0 and up with their Kobo ereaders?
Is this issue being looked at for an upcoming build or are there any details that we could provide to help?

I am trying to download a library book from Adobe Digital Editions to my Kobo e-reader. I keep getting an error message. "CE COPY NOT ALLOWED No permission to copy this book." What do I need to doo to fix this?

How to remove a device from my adobe id counter?
Hello together,
I use my sony ereader with my adobe id for several years now, and have already used three different pc's with this same id to load my ebooks to the reader. Since the number of devices that can be registered with the same id is limited to 6, I really need to remove the id from two of these pc's that are not alive anymore to register a new device. How do I do that?

Digital Editions error: E_ACT_NOT_READY
E_ACT_NOT_READY keeps on popping up when I download a book I purchased. I can't seem to open a book on my imac computer. I have the latest edition installed, which I installed just for this book. I can't seem to find a spot to "login" into my account. I've already asked for help somewhere else and no one can seem to help. I was some how able to install the app and open the book on my ipad as it asked for my adobe login. I have had no luck on my computer though, which is the only way to print from the book.

Wer kann mir helfen. Seit fast 2 Monaten kann ich keine Download-ebooks mehr umwandeln. Ade meldet immer E_ACT_NOT_Ready. ich habe schon versucht meine Autorisierung zu löschen. Dies ist nicht möglich. MIr wird immer gesagt, versuchen Sie es zu einem spätern Zeitpunkt wieder.

I cannot delete a book from digital editions
I uninstalled Digital editions removed all files and reloaded but the book is still there how do I remove this book please?

How do I delete Cloud Sync files?
I have files that I have erased repeatedly but they keep reappearing when ADE syncs with Cloud Sync. I have disabled the Sync function in Preferences and I have even manually deleted the CloudSync folder in Docs/My Digital Editions but those files just keep popping up!
How do I access my files in the cloud to get rid of them for good?
And yes, I have tried erasing authorization, reauthorizing, uninstalling ADE and reinstalling ADE about 10 times now
