"The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again."

This is the message I am getting when trying to open the book, (I had paid for on my mobile device (Android), using the Adobe Digital Editions.

I am able to read the book on my Android device with no issue, but when I am trying to open it on my Desktop PC, I am requested to authorize - and message I am getting coming up when I am clicking "Authorize" button.

I changed password - same result.

 

Please, help.

how to start over - deactivate my 6 devices

I think I have over 6 devices on my account.  Most are old computers and ereaders I no longer use.  I want to clear all activated devices, and start over.  On the web site, it says I must contact customer support to do this.  When I contact support through the online chat, the rep told me to post my problem to the forums, and this would lead to opening a ticket.  Can someone from Adobe help?

Adobe Digital Editions authorization

I only have one Kobo reader presently authorized for ADE.  At one time I had two.  For some reason, one unit dropped the authorization, and now I cannot reauthorize.  How many units can I authorize with an Adobe ID?  How can I unauthorize that which I cannot see.  And how can i begin to authorize my second unit. When I attempt to authorize I get an error message stating Limit of number of machines authorized for this ID has been reached

Adobe DE freezing

Hello,

 

Petr Mandik bought some ebooks.

 

Normally he can read it with Adobe DE but when he laucnhes his new ebooks, Adobe DE frezees automatically.

We can to stop it with the task manager, and we re-try, we have the same issue.

 

We uninstall and re-install it but we have the problem again.

 

The version is the last one 4.5.8.

I download protected books from Proquest (Ebook Central). There are only two options for download. For Mac (or PC), you download to Adobe Digital Editions. For mobile devices, you download to Bluefire Reader. I'd really like to be able to read my books in more than one place, i.e. both on my mobile device (iPad) and computer. Any chance I can make this happen? (Of course I can download both versions -- one to my computer and one to my iPad, but this doesn't allow me to sync the books, and that's actually what I need to do. It's useless to me to have two copies of a book where I can't sync my highlighting and annotations.)

DOWNLOADING ADOBE DIGITAL EDITIONS 4.5

I use a Tablet that has Windows 10. Sadly, Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 does not have a Windows Store App so installation is pretty haphazard! When I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on my Tablet I was given a number of options on what to use (Microsoft Edge, Word, Notebook). I mistakenly used "Notebook". This means when I open a book on my Tablet it is unreadable. I have uninstalled Adobe, but when I re-install it the programme returns to the original installation and I am back to "Notebook".  How do I change "Notebook"  to "Microsoft Edge"? Ironically Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 works perfectly on my Windows 10 Computer. It is a pity Adobe does not support Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile.

Trouble loading Overdrive books

I have recently been having trouble adding overdrive books to my nook through Adobe Digital Editions. It keeps freezing on me when I try transferring the books.

I use a MAC PRO.

I have used ADE  for along time without major problems.

Now, I download a book from my local library and am told "your eReader is not authorized to open this book   ...   you previously deauthorized your reader   ...   visit kobo.com for more information.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled ADE 4.5 on my MAC, reauthorised the reader, and continue to get the same message.

any advice?

Cela fait 3h que j'y suis...

J'ai retéléchargé Adobe ID et j'ai téléchargé un livre de la médiatheque.Ce livre en format ACSM (?), COMMENT JE FAIS POUR LE LIRE????

Où est la bibliothèque d'adobe? Je n'arrive pas à le "glisser" dans ma bibliothèque ou library (il reste en format acsm....)

J'aimerais télécharger des livres depuis une plateforme de prêt d'ebooks. Je me connecte à cette plateforme, je télécharge le livre et veut l'ouvrir dans adobe grâce au lien adobe content serveur sans succès. Le message suivant apparaît : Adobe digital editions na pas pu se connecter au serveur d'obtention. Assurez-vous d'être connecté à Internet. Je peux naviguer sur Internet sans problème.J'ai essayé de retirer l'autorisation adobe, de la remettre, de désinstaller le logiciel, de le ré-installer. De me connecter sur d'autres ordinateurs, tout ça sans succès ! Je n'ai jamais eu aucun problème avant pour télécharger mes livres de cette manière. La plateforme sur laquelle j'emprunte des ebooks ne trouve pas de solution à mon problème... Mon ordinateur fonctionne sous Windows 7 Professionnel.

Digital Edition slow to scroll on Windows 10

Hello,

 

I have the version 4.5.1.139278 (I suppose this is the last available, I downloaded it yesterday) and it si very very slow to scroll the pages of the magazine that I have purchased. I installed it on my Windows 10, this is my first installation in general.

 

Many times I try to scroll but when it is not so slow it show the message on the title bar that it is blocked.

 

It is resolvable or it is a piece of software that sucks (sorry for this but sincerely it is unusable).

eReader not authorized to open this book

When I download a book from my public library I can open it in digital editions 4.5 but when I transfer it to my device (kobo) and try to open it on the kobo it says "This book is protected by DRM. Because you previously deauthorized your eReader, you need to re-import the book using Adobe Digital Editions." I tried erasing authorization and setting git up again but it still won't work. Erased and downloaded a new edition of ADE, that didn't work either. Tried different books and libraries but still have problem. Called kobo and after troubleshooting with them they say it as ADE problem. Please please please help! Thank you!

my solution for cannot turn page problem in ADE

It seems this problem has been there for a while. I have this problem in ADE 2.0 and 3.0. I solve this problem on my computer today.

 

This problem is not a "turnning page" problem but an UI refresh problem, if you turn page, close ADE and reopen it, you will find the page actually turnned,  I guess this problem occurs on a computer which have two display card. On my laptop, a NVIDIA, and an integrated. ADE works fine on NVIDIA and not on the integrated one.

 

So Here is my solution: Tell ADE not running on the integrated display card but on NVIDIA. You can do so by using NVIDIA's control panel program. "manage 3D settings" -> "program setting" tab, add ADE, and tell it running on NVIDIA.

J'ai la dernière version d'adobe digital editions 4.5.5 et j'ai une liseuse Kobe aura H20, première édition.  Merci, Comme je ne lis pas l'anglais, serai-t-il possible de recevoir le mode de fonctionnement en français.

Unable to erase computer authorization in ADE 4.5 on Windows 10

I've wasted an hour of my Sunday scouring the forums for this and am at my wit's end. I'll try to be brief and concise as possible.

  1. I bought an eBook from a publisher and the only way to download it is to open an ACSM file with ADE, which I already have installed on my Windows 10 PC.
  2. Trying to open the ACSM file results in, "Error! Check Activation." I emailed the vendor about this and they wrote back saying I'd need to erase my existing computer authorization in ADE and re-authorize.
  3. I tried de-authorizing my computer but get "Unable to Erase Authorization. Please try again after some time."
  4. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADE (once with CCleaner, twice using the ADE uninstall program in the Program Files directory). Problem not solved.
  5. I tried implementing the Windows registry changes recommended here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2100206. Problem not solved.

 

I'd appreciate hearing any success stories from folks who have successfully troubleshooted this.

Non riesco ad autorizzare il mio pc su Digital Editions per trasferire ebooks protetti con DRM: seguo la procedura, inserisco ID Adobe e pwd (già ricontrollati) ma segnala un errore (Errore del server di attivazione - codice E_AUTH_NO_READY). Potete darmi una mano? grazie
