Out of solutions to E_STREAM_ERROR problem

I have been searching the forum (and the internet as a whole) for a solution to my problem and, so far, no luck.

 

I have repeatedly tried to download .acsm files from the ebrary website and each time receive the following error message:

"Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_STREAM_ERROR"

 

Solutions I have tried:

Replacing ADE 2.0 with ADE 1.7.2 (received the same message)

Using Internet Explorer instead of Google Chrome

Disabling all firewalls

Deauthorizing and Reauthorizing account in ADE

Uninstalling and reinstalling ADE

 

 

I am using Windows 7 and running Adobe Digital Editions 2.0, downloading through Google Chrome.  I am doing all of this from Dakar, Senegal, if there is a chance that makes a difference, using internet run off of a USB key.

Library Book Download

I am trying to download a library book from Adobe Digital Editions to my Kobo e-reader. I keep getting an error message. "CE COPY NOT ALLOWED No permission to copy this book." What do I need to doo to fix this?

eReader not authorized to open this book

When I download a book from my public library I can open it in digital editions 4.5 but when I transfer it to my device (kobo) and try to open it on the kobo it says "This book is protected by DRM. Because you previously deauthorized your eReader, you need to re-import the book using Adobe Digital Editions." I tried erasing authorization and setting git up again but it still won't work. Erased and downloaded a new edition of ADE, that didn't work either. Tried different books and libraries but still have problem. Called kobo and after troubleshooting with them they say it as ADE problem. Please please please help! Thank you!

I need someone to reset the activations of my PDF downloaded from Google Play books.

Whenever it try to open the PDF or EPUB of the book the unable to download pop up occurs

Bonjour,

 

j'ai plusieurs clients qui note un problème pour mettre un id adobe, comme si les serveurs ne répondaient pas.

 

J'ai eu beau essayer avec ade 4.5, 3.0 et 2.0 , cela reste en erreur lorsqu'on clique sur autoriser avec un message indiquant que les serveurs ne répondent pas.

 

J'ai vérifié, pas de proxy ou pare-feu bloquant la connexion.

Adobe Digital Editions won't recognize my Nook

I have a Nook 7 tablet model BNTV450. I connect it to my computer and the computer definitely recognizes it as it shows up right away as a new drive in This PC folder. I open up Adobe Digital Editions and nothing! It checked and Barnes and Noble Nook is listed under compatible devices. Don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Adobe Digital Editions does not sync across devices

According to the product descriptions and several FAQs I found, it is an alleged feature that when I download media and open it in Digital Editions on, say, my PC, it should sync to my Digital Editions (same ID) on other devices like my tab.

 

I have 'auto-download' enabled. But this syncing doesn't seem to be happening. (Concrete example: I downloaded two library books to ADE on my PC with the same ID I use on my tab, but these books are not showing up on my tablet. The two books that are in my ADE library on the tab are also not showing up in the ADE library on my PC.) I also don't see any 'sync now' button or similar.

 

What am I missing, why is this feature not working?

Problem with PocketBook Touch Lux 2

I've bought 2 books on Google Books and dowload them as epub files and next read them at my PC with Adobe Digital Editions. I'd like to download and read them also on my PocketBook Touch Lux 2. The device is already authorized, but when I want to read both of them there are only one blank page. On my PB there is only cover visited and nothing else.

 

I've try to download one of this books as pdf to my PB and it's okey. But what about epub files? Second book has only that format of file and I've wanted to read it on my e-book reader, not on PC.

Digital edition for linux

I use Ubuntu. I prefer Ubuntu. I can't afford a new machine with windows or OSX....  I have to use someone else's computer to borrow a library book.

 

Why isn't there a version of digital editions for Linux?

 

Also, I commented on another thread that I also want a version for Linux and the moderator rejected my comment.

 

What's up with that?  It's not like I was rude...

why can I not delete items from the library?

I try to delete items but when I later attempt to transfer new items the, supposedly, deleted items return and will be transferred instead of the required new items. I have removed Digital Editions and re-installed but this has no effect. Can anyone help?

Ho aperto per la prima volta un ebook in ADE senza prima aver autorizzato il mio PC con l'ID Adobe.

L'ebook si è aperto.

Poi ho creato un ID Adobe, ho deautorizzato il PC e riautorizzato il PC con ID Adobe, ma ora non riesco più ad aprire l'ebook.

Come posso cancellare tutto il processo e rifare tutto da capo?

ADE no detecta mi ereader

Dispongo de ID de Adobe, pero ADE 4.5,  instalado en mi PC no conecta con mi e-reader y no puedo transferir libros desde dicho programa. Mi ereader es un PRS-T1 de Sony y está actualizado. Estaba utilizando "Reader for PC", me quedó obsoleto y gracias a la instalación de ADE, "Reader for PC" ha vuelto a reconocer mi e-reader, pero no el programa de ADE. Preferiria trabajar exclusivamente con Adobe Digital Edition

Can't open books, Digital Editions freeze up

Hi,

 

We're having issues with opening e-books in Adobe Digital Editions. When you try to open them the whole program just freeze and never really gets anywhere from there. The 'Getting Started with Adobe Digital Editions' opens up fine but the other ones won't work at all.

 

Anyone who knows what could be the issue here? Any tips are greatly appreciated.
