ADE won't open

ADE won't open.  ADE shows in the system tray (Windows 10) after downloading a book from the library, and hovering over the system tray shows that the book is loaded, but it won't open in a full window. The book is found in the My Digital editions folder, so I know it has been downloaded, but I can't read it since I can't get the ADE window to show.

 

I have tried the following: delete my digital editions folder (entirely), uninstalling ade, rebooting and re-installing. Still have the same problem.

Guten Abend, ich hoffe mir kann hier jemand helfen.

 

Ich habe mir bei google books zwei ebooks gekauft und habe diese als pdf runtergeladen. Habe daraufhin dann ADE gedownloaded um die Dateien, welche als pdf.acsm runtergeladen wurden, öffnen zu können. Ich habe das Programm installiert und konnte es normal öffnen und auch das "Erste Schritte Buch" lesen. Habe dann auch eingestellt, dass die pdf.acsm Dateien immer mit ADE geöffnet werden. So weit alles in Ordnung. Nun mein Problem:

 

Wenn ich über das ADE Programm die heruntergeladenen ebooks suche, werden sie mir nicht angezeigt und ich kann sie nicht auswählen. Andersrum, wenn ich die ebooks anklicke, öffnet sich automatisch das Installationsfenster von ADE und das Programm Installiert sich wieder neu, OBWOHL ich es schon installiert habe. Wenn ich die Installations erneut durchführe und am Ende auf "beenden" klicke passiert nichts - das ebook öffnet sich nicht und sonst nichts anderes. Wenn ich dann nochmal versuche die datei zu öffnen, passiert genau das selbe: Das Programm will sich wieder neu installieren.

 

Ich hoffe mir kann jemand helfen, bin am verzweifeln! Vieln Dank

Digital Editions - 'Authorization of ID' dilemma solved

Hey guys

I had an issue with 'Authorizing' my ID on my PC and therefore eReader to be able to read DRM protected content(eBooks)…

My issue was resolved at last when I 'removed 2-step Verification' from my account.  I was then able to authorize my PC and eReader.  After the successful 'authorization', I then re-enabled '2-step Verification' on my account again... all good now .. ciao

Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 stopped working on Windows 10

Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.8 suddenly stopped working when I tried to load a second library ebook (it loaded the first). It just sits at the splash screen and says "loading library...." but will NOT open. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling ADE; uninstalling it and installing an older version I still had from two years ago; and even taking Windows back about 10-20 days using a restore point. NOTHING worked!

 

Please, please help! I am an avid reader and this is how I get my library books. It's very frustrating!

 

I have searched Google so many times to try to find an answer that works and I can't.

 

I use Windows 10.

Autorisierung des Computers von Adobe Digital Editions funktioniert nicht

Mein PC musste neu aufgesetzt wwerden. Danach musste ich Adobe Digital Editions neu installieren. Hat alles funktioniert. Nur die Autiorisierung des Computers mit alte Adobe ID und neuem Password (altes vergessen) funktioniert nicht. Was ist zu tun?

i bought an ebook thinking it was a "normal" PDF but it's an adobe ebook so I downloaded the software in my laptop and downloaded the ebook too, without registering the laptop. As I want to read the book also on my phone I downloaded the app and registered the phone.

Of course, I couldn't see the ebook on my phone so I asked help and Adobe told me to deregister the laptop and re-register with my ID. Done that but now I completely lost access to the ebook:  it says that the vendor account is not associated with the item i am trying to open! the Help function at this point told me to go on the forum as she is "from account management and we do not support the ebook issue through chat", which leaves me speechless.

any suggestions to finally obtain access to the book from multiple devices?

Hi I have Adobe DE on my iMac and on my iPad and iPhone. But When I add a book into my iMac desktop platform I cannot get it to sync with the other two platforms. They are all authorised with the same account details.

 

Can somebody advise what I am not doing?

Dear Sir or Madam

 

I' have a problem regarding the e-books which I have purchased from Kobo : The Littorio Class: Italy's Last and Largest Battleships 1937-1948 by Erminio Bagnasco  , Augusto de Toro and U-Boat Attack Logs: A Complete Record of Warship Sinkings from Original Sources, 1939-1945  by Daniel Morgan&  Bruce Taylor.The books appear to load but after the competion of the loading bar, appears always a frame ‘’ The element Adobe Digital Edition 3.0  it stopped working’’ and you can move past the first pages. I have done everything , authorize, de-authorize, used different editions of ADE but there is no solution.I have contacted Kobo in the past and once they have reset the codes of one of the two booka but the problem continued . So I’d like to have to know if there is  a solution from your part regarding my problems.

I'm having trouble reading Google Play Books' comic books.

Hello.

I downloaded a comic from Google Playbook (Korea) from a web page and opened it at Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.10,

but I noticed a problem with the bottom of one of the cover pages being painted black.

 

So, i asked Google Play, and a Google expert analyzed that it was a problem that occurred because the two page layout viewing features supported on the web page were not supported by Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.10.

 

And I'm here to ask you this question because the Google Support representative who sent me an email told me that I need to go to Adobe to contact you about this issue.

 

I am currently using Windows 10 Pro, using i3-6100 and HD 530 which is an Intel internal graphic. What can I do to solve a problem like the one shown below?

Depuis plusieurs années j'utilise Tolino et télécharge livres de la bibliothèque, sans problème. Depuis quelques jours, en changeant d'ordinateur, j'ai téléchargé, comme demandé Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.

Depuis, impossible de télécharger de nouveaux livres, toujours le même message : "vous n'avez pas le droit de copier le livre"... Que dois-je faire de plus ? Merci pour l'aide prochaine ! bonne journée.

blank pages come out of printer when attempting to print pages

Hello,

 

Hopefully someone can help me.  I purchased the Weather Studies Manual 2018-2019 for a class I am taking in college.  The format is an e-download and the book is a 6 month loan through the AMSEDU Bookstore.  The instructor has asked us to print this out since it is filled with assignments for the class.  When I try to print it out, all that comes out of the printer are blank pages.  Only way I can view it is in Adobe Digital Edition, and I have tried about everything, so any help would be great appreciated.  Thank you in advance

I have a problem with adding a pdf to the ADE.  I purchased a book from Wiley a long time ago when it was WinXP era. Now I have ADE 4.5.10 installed.  Everything looks good.  The CS rep asked me to go for a "E-books" menu, but there is no such menu.

I am unable to download an epub book to Adobe Digital

I have books in my Google Play that I want to download as epub books to Adobe Digital so that I can upload them on my e-reader. When I right click on a book in Google Play and chose download epub the book does not appear in Adobe Digital can you please help me as to why this is happening as I don't want to buy any more books if I cant have them on my e-reader.

Why cannot I copy text i Adobe Digital Editions?

I have purchased an e-book which I'm reading using Adobe Digital Editions.

In the beginning I was able to copy and paste sections that I intend to refer to later, but now I cannot copy and paste.

What could be the problem?

ADE wont authorize computer

MacBookPro (2008)

OS 10.9.5 here,

 

Got a Adobe ID.

Dowloaded ADE 4.5.10 and installed it.

Now I can read ebooks on my Kobo eReader and MacBook Pro ok but not able to authorize computer.

 

help > authorize computer

help > erase authorization

help > authorization information

 

are all greyed.

 

How to fix this ?

drm problem in digital editions

I have an ebook that was downloaded into digital editions, unfortunately we did not authorise the computer prior to downloading.

the computer died so have put hdd in another computer but D.E recognises the change and wont open the book -  any way around it

Why does my borrowed library book not appear on my Nook?

I use Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 to borrow books from my library to read on my Nook.  I just borrowed 2 books from the library.  I transferred one to the Nook without a problem.  I used the same procedure to transfer the second book but it does not appear on the Nook.  If I open My Files on my laptop while the Nook is connected and view the Nook's files, that second book is listed.  And if I go back to ADE and try to transfer it again, I get a message that there is already a file with the same name in the location and I am asked if I want to copy and replace it.  So it appears as though the book is in the Nook but I can't find it.  It is not in the Nook's library.  The first book I transferred, by the way, is in the Nook's library.  Can anyone tell me why this is?  This problem has been going on for months.  Barnes and Noble is unable to help.

Sync Digital Editions with Goodreads

Is there any way to sync Adobe Digital Editions with Goodreads? 

I know it is possible to import a CSV into Goodreads so even if I could just export the book information from Adobe this would be great, but I can't see any way of getting this done.

 

Any help would be great.
