I tried to open my bought eBooks in Digital Editions on a new laptop, both authorised with my Adobe ID. Now I can't read the eBooks on the new laptop due to the following error on authorisation:
the vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open
I tried to the Adobe online chat, who said to post here. I tried their Twitter account @AdobeCare who also said to post here.

I am trying to get sample e-books but I don't know what to put in the vendor space and everything I try is rejected. I have an Adobe ID and I have reset my password.

ADE crashed when I was adding a book to the library earlier today and now all I get is a blank screen like I have a book open and I can't do anything. The screen is frozen. I can't even close the
program without going through task manager. I tried unauthorizing/authorizing and redownloading with the same same results. Any suggestions? I use Windows 10 and this is a big problem for me as I review books professionally and need this to authorize the books.

There seems to be a problem with Adobe Slate today. I am trying to open my project and the following message appears: "We seem to have encountered an error and need to reload. you will be directed back to projects view"
Is there someone who can help? Is there another way to have access to the presentation since it' s urgent to finish it today?

einen ähnlichen Thread gibt es bereits, allerdings funktioniert die dort genannte Lösung bei mir nicht. Ich versuche, ein bei Google gekauftes Buch als epub auf meinen E-Reader herunterzuladen. Fehler tritt seit dem Upgrade auf Win 10 auf. Hat jemand eine Lösungsidee?

I have an ACSM file from my local library. Open it in Digital Editions; a progress window called "Fulfilling {the title}" opens containing a progress bar, the caption "Downloading Content ...", and a Cancel button; the progress bar runs pretty quickly to the end, at which point the Cancel button goes inactive and the program is hung up: Force Quit required.
Grateful for any help.

So I have installed ADE 4.5 on my computer with windows 10 and I was using it without a problem till yesterday. I shut down my computer yesterday after my reading, then today morning when I restarted my computer and tried to open digital editions 4.5, it will not open. I have tried uninstalling it and then re-installing it all over again without any success. I have not updated, installed, or changed anything since yesterday when digital editions was working properly. How do I fix this problem?

Does Elements 14 come as a 'Download' or on a Disc?
New Nook, ADE doesn't recognize so books from the library can be transferred. Nook has correct email & password for ADE. Old Nook works fine. What should I try?

I just downloaded ADE 4.5 to my SurfacePro 3 with Windows 8.1. When I attempt to authorize my computer using my Adobe ID and password, I receive the following error message:
"Activation Server error
code: E_ADEPT_XML_SYNTAX https://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/ActivationServiceInfo
Digital Editions encountered an error on the activation server."
I attempted to chat with someone at Customer Care about this issue, and they directed me to these forums. I have searched these forums already and have not found a solution.

I keep running into problems when opening ebook file (.acsm) I downloaded from ebrary. ADE gives me the message

I've referred to adobe help section which suggested I set the time zone to the downloading website, however this did not solve the problem. I'm currently outside of US so I reset my time to PCT however this didn't fix the problem.
Are there any threads or sites I can look into to troubleshoot?
I have used a Kobo eReader for several years, downloading from my library or purchasing from a store to my PC, then copying to my Kobo eReader. A few months ago I purchased a new Acer netbook with windows 10. I can no longer copy from my netbook to my Kobo eReader.
I bought 2 books from the Kobo store and downloaded them to my PC. When I try to copy to my Kobo eReader I get the message CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED.
A right click on the book in the Adobe Digital editions says copy permission denied.
I can read the books on Adobe Digital editions but I would prefer to read the books on my Kobo eReader.
I downloaded an ePub book from the Ottawa library into Adobe Digital editions on my PC and attempted a copy to my Kobo eReader with the same results.
Is there a problem with compatibility between Windows 10 and Adobe?
