I have been using ADE for some time. I recently downloaded an EPUB file, and commenced reading it.
Next day when I tried to open ADE (double clicked on icon), it only opened to a blank page, with "File, Edit, Reading & Help" in the menu bar.
However, the downloaded book was not there, and when attempting to "Add to Library", the Fulfilling" dialog box would open, but no book appeared.
I have bought a book that I have tried to open with digital edition. Which works fine. BUT as a like to bookmark pages and highlight text i try to open the same version of the file again. Which do not work.
Each time i open the file it first opens in adobe reader and give me an error message saying that I need digital edition. So I open it with the "start now" button in the error message. However, I have figured out that the books in the bookshelves are the correct versions, so I have tried open digital edition from the start menu in win 10. BUT I CANT FIND IT! It does not appear when searching for it or in the program list.
And as it is not possible to open my bookmarked version of the book I have tried to leave digital edition open for read later on. BUT then the program crashes.
As if the problems with this program ends there???? NO, I tried to open my book in my phone. Thats impossible it just tryes to connected and then stop. And yes I have wifi on the phone so it would be fast and easy. Can you please do an e-book reader that works?
Bottomline I´m very upset for paying a whole lot of money for a book i cant use. Im sure it was a nice thought, but it would be easier to go digital if it was useable.
Now I do need to read, bookmark and highlight in my e-book as I cant afford bying a printed version too. So please fix my problem.

Recently updated from 4.5.1 to 4.5.4. Borrowed epub books from local library system (worked fine 2 weeks ago). Digital Editions hangs up (not responding) when I try to open the books, and hangs up when I try to copy to my Nook (original edition).

When I attempted to access a book I had just downloaded, I got this error. The boards claim that the cause of this error has been fixed. Apparently it hasn't. What do I need to do so that can access my books?
I'm trying to download a book from a library onto a Nook. When I attempt to authorize the Nook I get "activation server error code." When I attempt to move the book to the Nook I get "error getting license. license server communication problem.
I am attempting to authenticate a new installation of Adobe Digital Editions but get error message that my ID is already used on another computer. I had to rebuild my laptop because windows crashed. My current ID is my email address. Do I need a new ID? Is there a work around?

How do I fix error: CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED-No permission to copy this book. I'm trying to download an ebook to my nook on a NEW computer.
Until now I've had no trouble enlarging the text with the drop-down menu. I just loaded a book that has text which is smaller than the text that I use in Windows (125%) and I can't enlarge the text using the drop-down menu.
Also, I turned on internet settings, thinking that it would alter the situation, but it hasn't, and I want to go back to intranet settings,
My Digital Editions is stuck at 'Fulfilling "book" Downloading Content...' The green bar is full. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Digital Editions 4.5.4.
Ich habe bis auf 2 Bücher alle Medien (gelesen und teilweise zurückgegeben) aus der Bibliothek entfernt und auch im Dateisystem gelöscht.
Immer wieder werden Einträge im Regal aufgelistet, die schon lange gelöscht sind. Das ist offensichtlich auf Einträge im Verzeichnis ....\My Digital Editions\CloudSync zurückzuführen. Wenn ich die Einträge dort lösche kommen sie immer wieder.

dans adobe digital, lorsque l'on retourne un livre emprunté, comment puis-je faire disparaître définitivement le fichier? J'ai beau le délister de la bibliothèque, il réapparaisse lorsque j'ouvre de nouveau le logiciel.
