Regarding Adobe Digital Edition - Download, installation & Reading epub Books purchased from ACCP

I am Dr GS Bhattacharyya from India.

I have purchased 2 ePUB Digital Books from American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).

I have my Login ID & Password for ADOBE.

 

1. I have logged in to ADOBE and downloaded ADE from Download Digital Edition 4.5.2 Windows (8.13MB)

2. On trying to open the Books

a) Clinical Pharmacist's Guide to Biostatistics and Literature Evaluation, Second Edition (eBook)

b) Pharmacogenomics: Applications to Patient Care, Third Edition (eBook)

 

I am being asked

Authorization Needed

This computer needs to be authorised with Vendor ID to open Clinical Pharmacist's Guide to Biostatistics and Literature Evalu.epub.

 

To start authorization process with a Vendor ID, click on the Continue button.

 

I have clicked on ContinueI was asked to Login. I used my Adobe ID and Password

I received a message

"This computer is not authorized to open Clinical Pharmacist's Guide to Biostatistics and Literature Evalu.epub because this item is authorised to a Vendor ID. To authorize your computer to open this item, enter your login ID and Password associated with this item and click on this Authorise Button.

The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again."

 

I am getting a similar message for "Pharmacogenomics: Applications to Patient Care, Third Edition".

 

Please assist me. What should I do? I am unable to view

My contact id is which is also my ADOBE ID.

I contacted

She informed me to download ADE, Click on Help, Authorise Computer using my Login ID and Password.

I did and the Computer was Authorised.

On clicking on the URL provided

I buy a book and when I download it, I get an URLLink.acsm files. When I want to open it, ADE gives a message "Error ! Check activation"

What does I do ?

Issues with Adobe Digital Editions 4.5

I have recently purchased an eBook code from my local campus bookstore, and I had no problems activating or downloading the textbook, but recently when I try to read it, the pages move so slow it is impossible to read, the buttons become unresponsive and glitchy, and then the program kicks me off and says Adobe Digital Editions has quit unexpectedly.

ADE is not working

I'm not sure exactly what is going on but my Adobe Digital Editions is not working. Approximately one month ago, my ADE (version 3), which I had for several years, would not let me download books or return books from my library. I read some information about deauthorizing and authorizing ADE which I did. In the process of doing this I learned there was a newer version (4.5) which I downloaded and authorized. It worked. Yesterday, it stopped working. I tried to download a book, I get this message:

 

Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:

E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12

 

That is the same message I get when I try to return a library book as well.

 

When I try to deauthorize ADE so that I can reauthorize it, I get this message

 

Unable to Erase Authorization. Please try after some time.

 

I have been getting this message since yesterday.

 

If anyone has any idea what might be going on, I would be deeply appreciative if you could point me in the right direction.

Hallo zusammen,

 

ich habe auf meinem neuen Tablet die aktuelle App der Onleihe.

 

Dort werde ich nach meiner Adobe ID gefragt, bekomme aber immer den Hinweis:

 

Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten

E Auth Bad Device Key

 

 

Auf meinem Mobiltelefon läuft die App anstandslos mit der Adobe ID zusammen.

 

Die Menschen vom Chat bei Adobe haben mir schon gesagt, dass sie nicht zuständig seien ;-) Ich hoffe also hier auf Hilfe!

Recent upgrade shows books in my library which appear to be every library book I ever read!  Can I "blanket" delete books which are identified as E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED or do I have to go through them one by one.  There are now over 200 books in my library/

link Adobe IDs or reset account with old email address

Is there a way to either:

a) link two Adobe IDs together or

b) reset the password on an old Adobe ID even though I no longer have access to that email account?

 

I tried Chat and they suggested asking here about the password reset.

I've used Adobe Dig Ed on a Windows XP computer for years with no problems.  I recently switched over to Windows 8.1, and reinstalled Adobe DE, and went through the authorization step for the computer.  Then I downloaded two books from the library, and read them with no problems.  However, the next time I tried I ran into problems.  I am able to download the books to Adobe DE.  I can open the books in Adobe DE (but it would be tough to read in ADE on the computer, because of no formating). I can copy the books to my nook, the same way I always have, and they show up in my nook.  But when I try to open in Nook, I get "Error dialog - This book has been returned.  Loan not on record".

I turned off Virus protection and tried again, with same results.

Any help?

EPUB Arabic words

Hi all.

 

I have created some epub books which is in english and Arabic words . I can read all the arabic content properly using Chrome Readium but, because of DRM, I need to read these books using Adobe Digital Edition. The problem is Arabic words in ADE are separated and are not displayed correctly. ( The font is embedded into the EPUB file).

 

It would be great if anyone could help me with this problem.

Adobe Digital - Too Many Activations and Support cannot locate my Adobe ID

I recently reset my laptop and tablets, both of whom had been authorised to

use eBooks using my Adobe ID.

 

Unfortunately, when I reinstalled all the software and went to authorise

them again, I received the error message E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS

 

From the Forums and Adobe's help, I contact Customer Support in order to

reset the number of activations.  However, I was told that I did not have

an Adobe ID using my main email address (i.e. the one that I used

previously to authorise my laptop and tablet to use eBooks) and to go to

the forums.

 

On follow-up, I was told that there was another Adobe ID using an old email

account where the number of activations was "good to go".

 

Can someone confirm with me the following (given Customer Support said that

they can assist with activations only and all other problems must go onto

the forum)

 

1 - Do I have one or two Adobe ID's?

2 - What email account is registered with my Adobe ID/s?

3 - Do I have sufficient computer activations remaining so that I can begin

to enjoy my eBooks again?

Cannot authorise my 2nd computer

Hello,

I have authorised one Windows computer in Adobe Digital Editions using my Adobe ID. Now I want to authorise my Macbook as well, but I get an error (please see screenshot). Why is that so? I thought the point of the ID was that we can now share books across our devices?

Texto editable/almacenable en epub3 no funciona en Adobe Digital Editions

Mi problema es que aplicando la acción LocalStorage en un epub3 para poder editar y almacenar texto en un epub3. Me deja editar pero cuando salgo del epub pierdo la anotación. Sin embargo en otros lectores (Azardi, iBooks, Gitden) sí que lo mantiene. Por tanto, deduzco que es un problema de ADE.

Por favor, cómo puedo solucionar esto.

Issues with ADE opening ascm files for ebooks. Trying to unauthorize but keep being told unable to. Deleted program and reinstalled however computer stayed authorized. Looked for activation.dat file as noted in another string but can't find that file. Running mac osx10.11. Any suggestions would be great.

Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 for Windows 10

I have tried to download this newest version more than once. At first some books downloaded and I could transfer to device and read.  Now ADE is simply  a blank window with titles across the top and no books ( acsm ) will download.  Often I have to "end task" to close ADE program.  Does anyone have experience with this and/or know a solution??  Seems that this newest version just doesn't work properly. Previous 3.0 Version was fine but cannot go back to it as you get  "check activation message."

How do I get the device count reset for free Adobe DE?

I was just informed that the Adobe Customer Care does not support those of us with free Adobe DE. I may be reaching my 6 device limit soon, and although I have deactivated earlier devices, it seems that this will not increase the available activations and I should get customer care to reset the limits. How then do I get the limit reset? Thanks!

ePub Animate interactive OAM files don't work in ADE and Publish Online

I'm using CC 2017. I'm exporting a simple Animate AS3 slide show (forward/back) in OAM format, placing in InDesign and exporting as FXL ePUB. I'm experiencing several viewing problems with the OAM files.

 

The ePUB plays fine only in iBooks.

 

In ADE a simple OAM animation (no interactivity) plays fine.

However, interactive OAM buttons do not function. Only the poster frame shows.

Same results in Readium.

 

In Publish Online, on all OAM pages I only get the "Get Adobe Flash Player" icon in the upper left... no images at all. (This is what I see in the InDesign EPUB Interactivity Preview window as well.) I saved the OAM back to Flash 12 and have the latest Flash plugin installed. Really? I thought this was all Adobe?

 

According to Ted Padova's book "... Interactive Publishing Tips..." all this functionality should work in these formats, yet... no bueno.

 

I've also tried HTML5 Canvas export for the OAM files but no luck there. The OAM pages in all readers are completely blank.

 

I'd love to use ADE or Publish Online since I'd like to distribute this document to students on multiple platforms.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
