Problem opening downloaded book

I purchased a book from Google Play. Downloaded it onto my desktop as a locked epub file.

Came to open it and had to do so via Adobe Digital Editions.

It asked for vendor's name, Google. My ID with vendor, my name. Password with vendor.

Rejected.

So registered with Adobe Digital Editions and used that ID and password.

Still rejected.

How do I open this file so I can load it on to my 2 Ereaders.

Can't return Ebooks!

Recently, within the last 2 weeks, my Adobe digital editions won't return books after I am finished reading them. I get the message "Error returning item. License Server communication problem: E_Adept_Request_Expired. " This is from my Version 4.5.6.177148 on my Windows 10 Dell Laptop. Help!

 

I have even tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. I have tried to erase the authorization (to try a new one) but  it won't even let me do that!

Issue with Kobo Touch and Adobe

I have a kobo Touch.

Software is up to date as of today. Adobe is up to date as of today.

I have books on it purchased from Kobo and they work just fine.

My issue is when I use Overdrive to download books and then load Adobe Digital Editions and transfer them to my Kobo, the books will show in the library but not open. I get an error message.

 

"Oops! This document count be opened......Digital Rights Management issue"

 

My kobo is registered with "account1".

My Adobe account is "account1". My computer is authorized with Adobe. My Kobo device has also been authorized using the same account "account1". Once I authorize it I get a message saying I can now share DRM books between the two devices.

However, once I open the book on the Kobo I am still getting the error message!!!

 

I have done 2 full factory resets to my kobo, powered on and off multiple times.

 

This is very frustrating. Please help.

Library books not opening on Nook

I recently switched from Digital Editions 4.0 due to being unable to open library books on my Nook- the message "This book has been returned. Loan not on record" came up. I now have been trying to download books onto Digital Editions 3.0, and keep getting different error messages like "CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED. No permission to copy the book" when I go to drag it over to my device, and "E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER" when I attempt to open the file into Digital Editions. Some threads on the forum suggested deauthroizing and reauthorizing my computer, which I have done and am receiving the same messages still. I uninstalled the application several times in addition to deauthorizing and reauthorizing. I tried downloading an entirely new book from the library and have had no luck, receiving the same messages. I can't contact Adobe directly for some reason, the customer service line and chat options all direct me to the forums and it's very irritating that I can't just speak with someone about it.

Hi!

 

I'm trying to upload Overdrive library books to my Nook device using ADE.  I authorized ADE on my computer so it lets me transfer the books to my Nook, but then when I try to open the book on the device it says "User Not Activated."  How do I fix this?

Trying to authorize my PC with Adobe Digital Editions using 'Google' as my ebook vendor. Authorization keeps failing with the error message.

 

"Incorrect login ID or password for the selected eBook vendor. Please try again"

 

I know my login details are correct. I have tried omitting the @gmail.com with no luck. I want to be able to import my google play books collection into Adobe Digital Editions.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, so I've talked to the customer service FOUR TIMES, but they kept directing me to hear saying that they can't help me with anythinig

I reeeeally hope there's someone who can help me with this

 

I erased the authorization on my laptop cause I have another laptop that I used frequently, but then it didn't let me get into the textbook anymore. I was able to get into the ADE, but when I tried to open the ebook, it asked me to sign in. When I put in the ID and password, it said "The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again." I used the information for Adobe and the information for the website where I got the ebook, but nothing worked. So I tried to delete the ebook and reinstall it. The pop up said that the original file wasn't getting deleted, so I thought it would be fine. BUT now it's not even letting me reinstall the ebook and another pop up came up saying "E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER".

 

I tried reinstalling ADE, didn't work.

I tried changing the password, didn't work.

I wanted to reset my ID (this is what people on forum said was helpful), but the customer service was not able to do that.

 

I reeeally need this problem fixed ASAP.... does anyone know how to fix this????

Cómo se recuperan los libros comprados digitalmente usando ADE? Pues he instalado ADE con mi correo original y reestableciendo una nueva contraseña sin posibilidad de recuperar los libros que compré.

Espero alguien pueda hecharme una mano.


No Permission to copy the book

Hi All,

 

I borrowed an ebook from my library. I had no problem downloading it and reading it on the computer but it wont let me move it onto my Kobo device.

 

Anyone have any advice? I'll ask my library aswell but they are generally not too helpful when it come to the tech side of things.

I open the file on ADE and i can not view the full page of the book.

I am trying to troubleshoot an error of :

Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:

E_ACT_NOT_READY

 

According to other feedback you need to erase authorization and then redo it to get this error to go away.  My issue is that when the window opens for (command-shift-D  and it has my Authorized user correct, and asks for password.  I input my Adobe password and says it is the incorrect password.  I have gone onto the main Adobe site and changed my password; reloaded Adobe digitial editions; restarted computer...

 

Still get the same error when I try and download a book.  Any ideas?

 

Even tried to do command-shift-u  which is supposed to open the authorization window, this does not work.

I have been trying to access my adobe digital editions  purchased e-books for the last 6 or so months but i keep on getting an error message(says activation server error. code: E_ACT_NOT_READY). I tried uninstalling and installing it again but its still giving me problems i even changed my password but  it doesn't help not even on my mobile app. I do not understand what is happening. please help me get access to my e-books.I am on windows 8 ad my computer is authorized,so is my phone.

Speech in IOS

Although speech is set up correctly in my IOS device - it work with other apps - it does not work in Adobe Digital Editions. All it does, is speak the page numbers, When I select text, the speak button remains absent. Because I have a vision problem I would be grateful for suggestions that allow me to fix this.

I made extensive notes/annotations on an eBook in Adobe Digital Editions when it expired. I tried downloading it again, but my notes are not there. Is there any way to recover it?

Bonjour,

 

J'ai eu des problèmes avec mon PC et j'ai dû changer mon disque dur. J'ai réinstallé Adobe et Kobo Desktop et récupéré mon compte adobe. Toutefois, je ne retrouve pas dans mon compte tous les livres qui sont présents sur ma liseuse. Comment puis-je synchroniser celle-ci avec mon ordi et mettre sur mon ordi les livres qui sont sur ma liseuse. De plus, lorsque je connecte ma liseuse, son contenu n'apparaît pas entièrement sur Windows explorer, comme si certains epub n'existaient plus ! J'utilise Windows 7.

 

Quelqu'un peut-il m'aider ?

I have installed a  number of epub books from Google Play books into Adbobe Digital Editions (ADE).  One book, however, ALWAYS fails to download and the message "e_adept_document_type_unknown" is displayed.  I have uninstalled ADE and reinstalled.  I have deleted the epub book and re-downloaded.  All multiple times.  I can install other books from Google Play books, but NOT this particular book.  I spent an hour with Google support, and they finally said "talk to Adobe".  Help!

I just created an Adobe ID to receive a purchased  acsm file and am not able to open the file

as this message comes up: Error! Check Activation.

Has anyone run into this problem?

My ebooks download with extension .acsm.  I connect my Kobo eReader.  I open the .acsm file with Adobe Digital Editions.  I get "Error: Check Activation".  Adobe Technical support cannot help and refer me to this forum.
