Hi, I receive the error E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS while trying to authorize my e-reader. If somebody from Adobe could reset my activation count, that would be great. I already contacted Adobe support via chat (case number 0222879954), but the problem has not beed resolved and I have been redirected here.

Versuche ich es vom PC aus über Digital Editions erscheint die Meldung: Digital Editions hat einen Fehler auf dem Aktivierungsserver festgestellt.
Was muss ich tun, damit das wieder funktioniert?
Problem with Adobe Digital Editions and Adobe ID authorization.
I successfully authorized two my android devices but failed to do this on my windows PC. Message is as follows:

By the way, when i put down incorrect password i recieve the message: incorrect login ID or password.
What should i do in this situation?

I have loaded ADE several times as well as ADE 2.0. It loads and opens a window. When I click on anything in the window (file, Library, etc.) the program crashes and I get an error message telling me that Windows has detected a problem and needs to close ADE. How do I resolve this. I am using Windows XP with all current updates installed.
Every time I open an e-book on digital solutions a message appears saying 'Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.6 has stopped working' and crashes.
Any solution to this?

By trying to get into contact with the support-live-chat (customer care), I only get the link to the contact custumer care again .... and again .... and again.

Can someone at Adobe please either de-authorize one specific device (Aldiko ereader freeware on LePan II Android tablet) or simply de-authorize all of them so that I can re-authorize the ones I'm actually using?
Background: I've been using Sony eReader/AdobeDRM/Kobo since 2006. I'm planning on replacing my 2012 Android tablet running Aldiko e-book reader (freeware). It doesn't give me an option to deauthorize my Adobe DRM content (it used to, but it would crash instead of deauthorizing, now it just fails to give me a Deauthorize option). So I have at least 4 items already authorized and possibly more, and my replacement tablet makes one more. It's very possible after 10 years that I already have all 6 authorizations used up. I tried to contact Adobe Chat (case # 0222697383) and was told to come here. But on this site, threads such as https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2277128 and several others make it look like no one from Adobe is reading these, though the agent I chatted with after being pressed repeatedly claimed that Adobe employees do read this and act upon the requests. If you ARE an Adobe employee reading this, I would encourage you to resolve my and all these other threads out there with frustrated customers getting the runaround. As for myself, I would much rather get this resolved BEFORE laying out the money for a new tablet or ereader.
I encountered the following message when I tried to download from our library to my MacBook Air (running Sierra). The last time I downloaded a book was about a year ago (prior to mac update). Worked fine then.

A few weeks ago on the I bought a book for my studies. As such I installed Adobe digital edition and loaded the book when It asked for authorization I selected authorize my computer without ID loaded the book and then loaded my other books that required me to log into my account which I did and yesterday when I tried opening this book it told me I cant I took of the authorization and authorized it again by the use of computer without an ID with no luck. Please advise on this as to how one can get access to it.

I set up an Adobe ID installed ADE, then ordered a couple of books from Kobo.com. I thought they would automatically appear in ADE but they haven't. What have I got wrong? I'm using Windows 10 and want to send the books to a Nook. The Nook and the computer are both authorised.

I have 2 Adobe accounts, by a mistake, i changed my PC time ago and started a new account. So now i have two accounts with many books on it, but separated.
Need to know how to fuse it, i want to use only a single authorization in the Software so in my ebook.

Several years ago, I purchased two Adobe Digital Editions of annotated textbooks. I just tried to open them, and they won't open. I got a system message that there was no application to open them. I clicked again, and I was taken to the Adobe Digital Editions site, but customer support sent me here. Do I need to buy something again? Did a computer crash a few months ago wipe out something? Everything else seemed to be restored... I would be grateful for your help, because I need to access these books!

Hallo, wenn iczh versuche die acsm Datiuen zu öffnen, wird mir ADE nicht als Alternative vorgeschlagen...udn ich kann dann auch die books nicht nach Calibre ziehen....was mach ich falsch??
Here is an update with an answer to my problem with the error code on the Mac:
I decided to trash ADE version 2.0 and went back to version 1.7.2, which is available at http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-editions/kb/cant-install-digital-editions.html. I downloaded the version for Mac on Intel-based computers. Just be sure that you delete the ADE version 2.0 before you download version 1.7.2.
This solved the problem---no error code and the ACSM file downloaded to Digital Editions without a hitch. I was able to drop it in my Nook library and all is well. Thank goodness.
Hope that this information helps other Mac users.

Original problem and question:
I have a new Mac Air and have downloaded the Mac version of Digital Editions 2.0 to my computer so I can download books from the public library onto my Nook. Digital Editions installed without a problem and I can see my library (I have used Digital Editions on my old Mac laptop for 2 years).
However, now when I try to download a book from the public library (ACSM file) on my new computer I get the message "error code E_ACT_NOT_READY." I had no problems downloading ACSM files on my old computer. What is the issue here? Most frustrating.
Should I try to download the previous version of ADE (instead of 2.0)? Can I even download that version to a Mac Air?
I have searched the forums and, while several people have asked about this error code, I have not found an answer to the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I am running Mac OS X 10.11.6. I was using DE 1.7 until Overdrive's update seemed to force me to upgrade to ADE 4.5.
Since that point, every ACSM gets the same error "E_ACT_NOT_READY".
I removed all traces of Digital Editions (app and folder deleted, all shortcuts gone gone gone). Downloaded and reinstalled and still the same errors.
Any new ideas?
